Employer Support Services

Consider the financial implications of employee absences due to personal matters or the time and expenses involved in recruiting and training new employees. Like many other companies, you will find that investing in an EAP results in substantial returns.

Our program models offer the following comprehensive support services:

1. 24-hour On-Call Availability: Our professional EAP counselors are accessible round the clock for emergency calls.

2. On-Site Presentations: We conduct on-site EAP orientation sessions to inform employees about our services.

3. Management Referrals: Based on our experience, 85% of our clients utilize EAP services before personal problems significantly interfere with their job performance. For situations where work performance has already been affected, supervisors and managers have a confidential and supportive method to refer employees to the EAP.

4. Manager/Supervisor Training: We provide training programs for supervisors, covering topics ranging from identifying troubled employees to conducting corrective-action interviews.

5. Management Coaching: Our EAP staff is available to offer expert coaching and consultation on communication techniques, conflict resolution, and motivation issues.

6. Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Services: DOT regulations require alcohol and drug testing for employers and employees with Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDL). UBHC is capable of conducting DOT-compliant substance abuse assessments, manage treatment compliance, and conduct return-to-work assessments for employees referred due to DOT policy violations.

7. Drug-Free Workplace: Our EAP can assist you in establishing and maintaining a drug-free environment at work. We offer expert development of drug and alcohol policies and provide assessment and monitoring of employees with substance abuse problems referred to us for up to twelve months to ensure successful outcomes.

8. Critical Incident Stress Debriefing: Our EAP counselors are available to provide on-site counseling in the event of traumatic incidents in the workplace, such as injuries or fatalities.

9. Professional Development and Personal Growth Seminars: Our EAP staff, along with community professionals, offer seminars on various topics, including Anger Management, Assertiveness Training, Conflict Resolution, Coping with Grief and Loss, Effective Listening, Supervisor Training, Parenting Teens, Preventing Job Burnout, and Stress Management.

10. Referral Procedures: If the need arises for an employee or family member to seek additional help beyond our program's benefits, we will refer them to qualified and affordable providers.

11. Follow-Up Procedures: We maintain contact with clients who utilize our services through telephone or mail-back surveys.

12. Utilization Reports: We provide annual and semi-annual utilization reports.
